Patsy Martin

Joyful Generations Leader

Patsy Martin was born in Bogata, a small town in Northeast Texas.  In the 1950s, her family started the First Assembly of God Church in the area.  Patsy attended church most of her life.  She married James Robert Martin from Tatum, Texas and moved to Longview where they lived and raised one son.  When Robert Allen Martin was born, Patsy fully devoted her life to Christ and was baptized.  She joined Longview First Assembly in 1974 and has attended LFA ever since.  Over the years, she sang with the music team, taught Sunday school, and Wednesday night children’s classes.  In 2019 Patsy began leading the senior ministry, Joyful Generation.  In 2020 activities were curtailed due to COVID-19, but we hope to resume activities as soon as possible.

Psalm 92: 12-15 The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish I the courts of our God.  They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, proclaiming, “The Lord is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him.”
