The Higgins Family

Hollie and I have been married for 26 years, and we’re grateful for the family God has given us. Over those years, we’ve shared a lot of seasons, experiences, adventures, and memories that have shaped who we are today. Our family is one of the greatest gifts in our lives, and we genuinely enjoy being together.

We have four children who have kept life interesting: Colin, who is married to Kacie, Ellanie, Caroline, and Erin. We love being together as a family, whether that means getting outside for a hike, gathering around the table for a board game, or heading off on a cruise and making memories along the way. Our family isn't perfect, but we genuinely enjoy one another—and we're pretty good at laughing together.

I'm originally from Ohio, and for more than 23 years I've had the privilege of serving in pastoral ministry in Minnesota, Ohio, and Texas. Those years have given me the opportunity to serve in many different ministry roles and, more importantly, to meet some incredible people and learn from the many different seasons a church and a family can experience.

Now we're excited to begin a new chapter here in Longview. We're looking forward to discovering our new favorite places, meeting our neighbors, becoming part of the community, and getting to know the people who make Longview First Assembly what it is.

I'm especially grateful that our family gets to serve together in a church that has been part of the Longview community for more than 90 years. My hope is that, as we move forward together, we will remain a church where people can encounter Jesus, find genuine community, grow in their faith, and discover the joy of being part of God's mission.

Hollie and I are grateful for the warm welcome we've already received, and we're excited to see what God has in store for the Higgins family and Longview First Assembly.
