Joshua & Emelissa Contes

For those of you who may not know us……

I am Emelissa Contes, and this is my husband Joshua A. Contes. We are high school sweethearts and have been together for 16 years and married for 11 years. 

One of our many adventures together consisted of moving to Longview Texas in 2015 and raising our beautiful family. We have a ten-year-old daughter and a seven-year-old son 

 We have been running this ministry since 2015. we have taught varies studies on marriages, parenting, we have done outings and crafting.

The heart behind this ministry is to be around other Christ like couples, so that we can lean on each other and not have to do life alone. We all go through junk; we are far from perfect and it’s so great to have accountability for those hard moments 

 My husband and I did not grow up with positive models of what a marriage should look like. we refuse to carry on with the generational curse and vowed to put our marriage first, to never give up and that divorce is never an option.

 We are firm believers of making God the foundation of our marriage Mark 10:9 tells us “therefore what God has joined together let no one separate.”

We have asked the lord to give us a vision for this ministry to be able to stand hand and hand in the gaps for one another. 

 Our prayer for this ministry is to be able to focus on the four categories

Ø    Prepare for marriages

Ø    Newlyweds’ marriages

Ø    Enriching all marriages

Ø    Restoring marriages in crisis 

We have asked the Lord to stir a desire in the hearts of married couples to want more of him for their marriages. To help build up other marriages, to break generational curses to respect the covenant that was vowed before God with your spouses 

So, the question we leave with you today is,
